Biography

I was born and raised in Asheboro, North Carolina to rural parents who had a talent for story telling. My father grew up on a farm in Sophia, N.C. during the depression. The combination of these hard times and the unique and colorful family members lend themselves to fun and humorous topics and one of my joys growing up were the family get-togethers and the joy of hearing these stories about the good old days. I presently live in Archdale, North Carolina with my wife Kathy and my daughter Sara. I am employed with the Randolph County Public Library and have just received a masters degree in Library and Information Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have been writing for about five years, experimenting with different styles and have been performing my works in readings over the last year.
