Windows 95 and 98 DNS Change Instructions
To change the DNS settings on your computer, please print and follow these instructions.
Double-click on My Computer.

Double-click on Dial-Up Networking

Click on the Community Web icon one time to highlight it.

Click on File, then click on Properties.

The next screen will look similar to one of these 2 screens:

OR

Click on the option for Server Types, either at the tab across the top of the screen, or the button across the bottom of the screen. The next screen will look similar to this, but some computers have more than 3 options in each section. The extra options are not important for what we are doing:

Click on the button for TCP/IP Settings.

Your screen should look like the one above.
Look at the Primary DNS section - it should be
216.162.1.1
The Secondary DNS Section should be
216.162.1.2
If you have anything else in these sections, highlight what is in there, delete it, and type in the numbers listed above. If the numbers match what is listed, DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING.
Click OK on each window, and exit out to the main screen. You are finished changing your DNS settings!
